Zoo Crew empowers middle school youth to become conservation leaders by addressing animal conservation issues, while learning about the various animal environments.
They are inspired to love and care for our 15 animals here on site at Long. Through the Zoo Crew program, we excite our youth by tending to the animals needs, as well as learn about their various habitats and ecosystems.
Summer hosting of the animals is also extended to our club members, who continue the care and love for these creatures over the summer and holidays.
The club meets BEFORE school sharply at 7:45, and ends by the first bell.
All animals are serviced prior to the school day. High academic grades, obey the rules and respectful behavior at all times is expected in caring for these creatures. Ever held a rat eating python named Medusa? My kids have……
